The police have tightened security at Gaurav Tower, a major commercial complex at Malviya Nagar, in the wake of an alert issued in connection with a possible terror strike in the city.

Shyam Nagar police have also detained an engineering student of city's private college for forwarding a terror hoax SMS from his mobile phone on Sunday. The police traced his number after an SMS - about explosives being planted in the vicinity of the complex - started doing the rounds.

"We have Replica Longines deployed additional men at Gaurav Tower after the terror alert was issued. Security measures have been tightened as a precautionary action and we are not taking any chances with public safety," said Biju George Joseph, superintendent of police, Jaipur (east).

The police and Central agencies are presently trying to verify the authenticity of the conversation. Around 50 policemen along with private security guards have been deployed at the complex with more than 100 business establishments frequented by a large number of people, especially youngsters, on a daily basis.

"The men have been deployed to ensure that each and every visitor entering the complex is properly frisked and their baggage Tissot Watch Replica checked before they are permitted inside," Joseph said.

Barricades have also been erected in front of the complex and police are keeping a close watch on parking bays situated in the front and along the sides of the complex. Private security guards have also been taken into service.

"These security measures will remain for the next two days until we receive further orders from our superiors," said Ram Singh Choudhury, SHO, Malviya Nagar Police station.
